Camping at LIB

Experience community in action at Lightning in a Bottle. Our campgrounds are a place to relax, play, and make friends with your neighbors. Whether you’re a minimalist or go the route of creating a camp to invite your fellow festival mates, you will enjoy plenty of California sky, fresh air, and good vibes. Bring your camping gear to camp in the general campgrounds or take advantage of premium camping packages of Atlaswyld Campground.

GENERAL CAMPGROUNDS

Your festival pass includes access to general campgrounds and its amenities. Whether you are tent camping or car camping, LIB campgrounds are a place to create the community we want to live in.

 

Lightning in a Bottle is a family event, so please respect these guidelines and enable us to return year after year to offer one-of-a-kind experiences.

 

  • Observe the 5 MPH speed limit at ALL TIMES

  • Camping is free form so make friends with your neighbors and reduce space between sites.

  • Do not camp or block roads or walkways. This includes tent stakes and guylines.

  • No “Space Saving”or marking off an area for friends arriving later.

  • Bring only what you need. Remove packaging at home. Decrease waste.

  • Be a good neighbor. Be mindful of noise late at night and the early morning.

  • NO in-and-out privileges for car and RV camping vehicles! Vehicles moved after being placed will lose their vehicle pass.

CAMPING PASSES

Car Camping Pass  |  $140 +Fees

Make camping a breeze by bringing your car into your campsite! Use it to sleep inside or store your gear. One car camping ticket per vehicle. All people inside the vehicle will require a separate GA or VIP Festival Pass.

80'x80' Group Campsite  |  $XX +Fees

Select this option to have a designated campsite for you and your crew to camp within prime real estate near the water’s edge. Feel free to bring as many tents, shade structures, and car camping vehicles as fit comfortably in your 80’x80’ footprint.

Vehicles with car camping or RV passes will not need a parking pass.

ATLASWYLD CAMPGROUND

Embrace a new adventure with Atlaswyld, a premium onsite camping experience designed to elevate your accommodations and provide a unique environment to immerse yourself into the festival. Offering multiple tiers of fully furnished tent, airstream, and RV rentals, Atlaswyld provides a convenient and luxurious way to experience camping at the event. Atlaswyld is boutique camp reimagined, with enhanced features inside the campground exclusive to registered guests.

RV CAMPGROUND

There will be separate designated campgrounds for RV’s with power, RV’s without power, 40’x40’ RV campsites, waterfront 40’x40' campsites, and 80'x80' campsites. Placement will be based on pass purchased and at the discretion of the RV placement team. Car camping is generally not allowed in the RV campgrounds, unless otherwise noted in the pass type.

 

What is the difference between the RV Passes?

 

  • General RV passes allow you to bring your RV into the designated RV campgrounds and will not be provided any services such as power, water, or sewer.

  • RV with Power passes allows you to bring your RV into the designated RV campgrounds and will be hooked up to a grid of power.

  • Make a bigger home base with your friends with an RV Group Campsite, a 40’x40’ campsite with power for one RV and space for additional tents.

  • There are two types for each of the RV Passes

    • SHORT for RV sizes less than 27’

    • LONG for RV sizes more than 27’.

 

Please note there is no sewer dump available upon exit of the festival for any type of RV pass.

RV CAMPSITE PASSES

40'x40' RV Campsite
with Power  |  $1500 +Fees

Enjoy a designated RV campsite with your friends! Each of these campsites allow for one RV and as many tents as fit inside the remaining space of this 40’x40’ campsite.

RV passes are sold per vehicle, not per person. Placement of RV’s is at the discretion of our placement staff at the time of arrival.

The 40'x40' RV Campsite w/ Power will allow for one RV per campsite hooked to a power grid, and as many tents as you can fit in the remaining space.

Waterfront 40'x40'
RV Campsite  |  $2500 +Fees

Lakeside 40’x40’ group campsite with power for one RV and space for additional tents. Each location includes one power hook up for one RV.

RV passes are sold per vehicle, not per person. Placement of RV’s is at the discretion of our placement staff at the time of arrival.

The Waterfront RV Camping Pass will designate a 40'x40' RV Campsite w/ Power to allow for one RV hooked to a power grid, and as many tents as you can fit in the remaining space.

Available for sale in all campground plazas!

ATMs

ATMs will be available onsite. Please check the festival map for exact locations.

Showers

Available in the campground plazas. Purchase your shower tickets at the shower booth.

Food & Drink Vendors

LIB’s awesome food vendors offer organic and locally-sourced options to keep bodies nourished and fueled. Vegan & gluten-free options available. Coffee and drink vendors available at campground plazas.

General Store

Forget something at home? Head to the General Store for camping essentials and personal care products. We even have limited quantities of tents if you forgot that too. Please check the festival map for exact location(s).

CAMPING GUIDELINES

What can I bring into the festival? Please note, festival grounds are separate of campgrounds.

Allowed in the Campgrounds

  • Good Vibes

  • Camping Gear

  • Food and Water

  • A reasonable amount of alcohol for personal consumption

  • Coolers (ice will be available for sale)

  • Enclosed propane stoves

  • Cameras (do remember to ask for consent before taking photos of people you don’t know)

  • Paddle Boards, Floaties, and Inflatable Rafts

NOT Allowed in the Campgrounds

  • Generators of any kind

  • Sound systems

  • Weapons (Including machetes for opening coconuts)

  • Glass bottles or glass containers

  • Motorized vehicles for personal use

  • Pets (please email ada@thedolab.com to inquire and register a documented service animal)

  • Illegal drugs of any kind

  • Fireworks, fire tools or fire lanterns

  • Fires outside of designated fire pits

 

Allowed in the Festival Grounds

  • Good Vibes

  • Backpacks

  • Cameras

  • Reusable Water Bottles

 

NOT Allowed in the Festival Grounds

  • Alcohol 

  • Culturally Appropriated Costumes, Props or Attire (ie; Headdresses, etc.)

Security Policy

  • All persons, items and vehicles are subject to search upon entry by security and law enforcement.

  • Security personnel reserve the right to prohibit items seen as harmful, dangerous or not in the best interest of the festival and its patrons.

Pack It In, Pack It Out

Plan to take everything you bring to the festival back with you, or take advantage of LIB’s Waste Collection Stations.

  • Bring your own trash bags and sort waste into compost, recycle and landfill.

  • Sorted waste can be dropped off at collection stations FREE of charge.

  • Unsorted waste will incur a fee based on bag size.

  • Bulky items, like camp gear, can be accepted. Fees may apply.

  • Items in good condition can be donated.
